Paul Testa
Paul has always been an active outdoor person. This gives him a social & physical appreciation of our environment.
This strongly influences Paul’s other passion; for Architecture and the built environment. He is especially interested in the way buildings are procured and made; the nuts and bolts of the process. Paul has always seen the technology of building to be something that can enhance buildings and the built environment functionally, aesthetically and environmentally.
Paul’s experience cycling from London to Ethiopia in 2004, amongst other things, reinforced his belief in vernacular construction methods and the key that they may hold to the production of fundamentally sustainable and healthy buildings.
This interest in construction led to his involvement in co-coordinating and teaching the technology course for the MArch in Architecture at Sheffield University, in which he is still involved as a tutor for the Sustainable Architectural Studies Masters course. This encourages Paul to keep up to date with the latest technical developments and to continue pushing the sustainable agenda which is currently so fundamental to Architectural education.
Paul is regulated by the architect’s registration board (arb) (Registration number: 072441F) and is also a member of AECB as part of his aim to promote sustainable building.
