What a difference a year makes. Now that our clients have moved back in, we wanted to share some before and after photos of Cortworth Road.
To recap, our clients asked us to remodel their very tired house and turn it into a much bigger, contemporary and functional family home.
April 2018 – work begins on site. Things had to get worse before they could get better.
May 2018 – Terry Huggett Developments quickly begin laying the foundations for the new double-height entrance.
August 2018 – The new form starts to take shape as the timber frame goes up on the front.
At the same time, the new rear extension is built. This will house an open plan kitchen, dining and living space.
December 2018 – The new render is on, and the beautiful cedar cladding that will wrap around the house is being added.
February 2019 – The scaffolding coming down is a pivotal moment during the project. The countdown to completion is on.
March 2019 – The cedar cladding is finished in time for Spring – and our clients to move in!
April 2019 – Here’s a preview of how the house is looking now that the clients are in and have added some stylish finishing touches. Fantastic work by Terry Huggett and his team on the build. During the final weeks, it has been a great team effort with Terry, Project Architect Julie and the clients to complete the interior to such a high standard.
We will be sharing more of the finished project soon. In the meantime, you can find out more about our design brief and our approach for working on the renovation here.
